The International Cricket Council (ICC) is reportedly set to announce the official schedule of the Champions Trophy 2025 on November 11, which is scheduled to be held in Pakistan in February and March next year. It is understood that a delegation of ICC is going to visit Lahore from November 10 to 12, to check out the arrangements for the return of the Champions Trophy, and this could lead to them unveiling the final scheduling and other key details of the tournament.
Notably, there are reports of the Champions Trophy 2025 schedule already being shared by the ICC with all the participating nations. As per the Express Tribune, the official unveiling of the tournament schedule is expected to happen in a grand event, which could be attended by current and former cricketers, officials, and many other eminent personalities from the world of sports and elsewhere.
The participation of Indian cricket team in ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan is not yet confirmed
There is also another report emerging from Sports Tak which states that the ICC could announce the official schedule of the Champions Trophy 2025 without listing the venues for matches. Moreover, the proposed groups for the tournament could see hosts and defending champions Pakistan getting placed alongside India, Bangladesh, and New Zealand in Group A, while England, South Africa, Australia, and Afghanistan might find themselves in Group B.
Moreover, the biggest point of contention in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 could be the involvement of former champions India. Since their political relationship with Pakistan isn't going smoothly, there have been a few rumours about the Indian cricket team not travelling to the neighbouring country to play in the coveted tournament, and as of this writing, the BCCI are having discussions with the government, who will take the final call on the matter.
If the Indian cricket team doesn't travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025, then it is likely that the ICC introduces the hybrid model to host the tournament with the Men in Blue playing their matches in the UAE.
