Meta Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that he is ready to fight Twitter (X) CEO Elon Musk ‘today’. Zuckerberg also added that he is awaiting Musk’s confirmation for the same. Notably, earlier in June 2023, Musk challenged the Meta founder for a cage fight that was earlier believed to have been prompted by a fan. Zuckerberg took on the challenge and started preparing for the same. Since then, both the business giants have been sharing the updates on their respective platforms.
In the latest developments, on Sunday, August 6, Mark Zuckerberg posted on his new platform, Threads, that he is ‘ready today’ and that he proposed the date of August 26 for the fight. But the ‘X’ CEO hasn’t given any response on the same. He wrote, "I suggested Aug 26 when he first challenged, but he hasn't confirmed. Not holding my breath.”
He added, "I love this sport and will continue competing with people who train no matter what happens here."
Zuckerberg’s statements came in response to Musk's training update that he posted on Twitter. Musk had tweeted, “Am lifting weights throughout the day, preparing for the fight. Don’t have time to work out, so I just bring them to work.”
Meanwhile, UFC’s President Dana White earlier said that both the business tycoons are dead serious for their fight. However, later Musk’s mother Maye Musk said that the fight has been cancelled.
