The prominent athleisure brand Adidas, which is India's official kit partner for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, unveiled Team India's jersey for the upcoming event on September 20, Wednesday. The upcoming edition of the World Cup will be hosted in India from October 5 to November 19. The jersey for the ICC event will be launched in a grand event at 7:30 pm, which will be live on Adidas' YouTube channel.
Speaking of it, the jersey has been given a makeover, where the three white stripes on the shoulders will be replaced by orange, white and green stripes, replicating the Indian flag's colours. Not only this, but the three stars above the BCCI logo on the jersey will be replaced with two stars, symbolising India's two triumphs in the World Cup.
Adding anticipation and excitement among the fans, the athleisure brand launched a promotional song '3 Ka Dream' on their social media. The World Cup special song has been sung by Indian rapper Raftaar, and it features Indian team members, including Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja.
The video was accompanied with the caption, "1983 - the spark. 2011 - the glory. 2023 - the dream. Impossible nahi yeh sapna, #3kaDream hai apna. #ImpossibleIsNothing". The jersey has been designed by one of the most famous names in sports apparel designing, Aaquib Wani.
