Earlier in October, Cricket Hong Kong  confirmed that Team India will be participating in the Hong Kong Sixes tournament for the first time in 12 years. However, the tournament will be the first in seven years, it will be played from November 1 to 3 in Hong Kong, China with a total of 12 teams participating in it, including the hosts.

With Team India also returning to the tournament, the team was announced on Saturday, October 12. Notably, former India cricketer, Robin Uthappa will lead the squad, including the likes of Kedar Jadhav, Manoj Tiwary and Stuart Binny.

Cricket Hong Kong took to X (formerly called Twitter) to announce India’s squad for the 12-team tournament. “🚨SQUAD ANNOUNCEMENT🚨 Here’s India’s Squad for the upcoming Hong Kong Sixes! Look forward to an exciting tournament where The Men in Blue will showcase their amazing skills and lively energy!” they captioned a post.

Speaking of the three-day tournament, India and arch-rivals Pakistan have been placed in Pool C and their match is scheduled for November 1. They will be joined by UAE in the group. Pool A includes South Africa, New Zealand and hosts Hong Kong, whereas Pool B features Australia, England and Nepal. Meanwhile, Pool D includes Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Oman.
