The Men in Blue are all set to face their arch-rivals Pakistan on August 29 in the Asia Cup 2022. Although a few players are currently playing the three-match ODI series in Harare against Zimbabwe, a few have been given rest ahead of this big assignment.
Things do not end till here. With the T20 World Cup 2022 set to be played in Australia later this year, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is all set to pick the best squad for the much-awaited ICC tournament.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has set 16 September as the last date for teams to submit their squad for the marquee tournament. Not only this, the ICC has set the limit to only 15 members.
Each participating team in the tournament may travel with a contingent of up to 30 members, with a total of 23 members being part of the official squad (15 players & 8 support staff). Besides this, seven additional squad members will be allowed to travel with the contingent. They can be a mix of net bowlers, support staff.
Seeing all these things in mind, the selectors are set to meet in Mumbai to select the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup. As per reports going around, the BCCI is set to name the squad on 15-16 September, four days after the Asia Cup final, which is scheduled to take place on 11 September.
The Super 12 stage of the marquee event is set to commence on 22 October after the conclusion of the qualifying group stage, which will kick start on October 16 in Australia.
