KL Rahul is reportedly holding a slight edge over Sanju Samson for India’s squad in the  T20 World Cup 2024. The 2024 World Cup is scheduled from June 2 (IST) to June 29 (IST) in the West Indies. The participating nations' cricket governing bodies must finalise their players who will be a part of the official squad to represent India by May 1.

With the deadline approaching, several rumours and developments have been surfacing regarding the selection of the players. In one such development, the PTI reported that wicketkeeping batter KL Rahul, currently leading the LSG in the IPL, holds an edge over Sanju Samson for the upcoming tournament.

On the other hand, Avesh Khan's  inclusion  is uncertain, and the final choice could be made between Ravi Bishnoi and Axar Patel.  It could be said that DC captain Rishabh Pant, the third-highest run-getter in the IPL has secured his spot as the number 1 wicketkeeper batter.
