Cricket Australia (CA) on Sunday, March 30 announced their schedule for the upcoming season. In a notable move, the Indian men as well as women’s team will travel to Australia in 2025-26 season to play multi-format series. As announced in the schedule, the men’s team will play white-ball series against their rivals from down under, the women’s team will lock horns in a multi-format series, set to be played next year.
Moreover, the Pat Cummins-led side will also host South Africa in a white-ball series, scheduled to be played in August, and will then host England in the highly-anticipated Ashes series, starting from November 21 till January 8. In order to prepare for the T20 World Cup, Australia will also play T20I series against new Zealand and Pakistan in the 2025-26 calendar.
Team India to play three ODIs and five T20Is vs Australia in October-November 2025
India will play eight matches across eight different venues in Australia from October 19 to November 8. While the first ODI is set to be played on October 19 at the Optus Stadium in Perth, they will then travel to Adelaide and Syndey for the second and third ODI, set to take place on October 23 and 25 respectively. They will then lock horns in five-match T20I series until November 8.
In 2025, the Indian women’s team will travel to Australia for a multi-format series. While they will kickoff their tour with three-match T20I series, they will then take on the Alyssa Healy-led side in three ODIs followed by a one-off Test.
