India is set to play in the first T20I of the three-match series against Ireland at the Malahide Cricket Club Ground in Dublin, on August 18, Friday. The hosts are going to take part in this series on the back of winning four out of five matches in the ICC T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier last month. Meanwhile, the Men in Blue lost the five-match T20I series against West Indies, the first defeat of such a kind in the format last weekend.

For the upcoming T20I series, Team India has made some big changes to their squad, none bigger than the return of pacer Jasprit Bumrah after an 11-month injury layoff, to captain the national side. Prasidh Krishna, his compatriot, is also coming back to international cricket after a year on the sidelines .
The Indian selectors have also introduced new faces to the squad, the likes of wicket-keeper Jitesh Sharma, and a middle-order dasher, Rinku Singh. For Ireland, the main focus will be on Mark Adair, the fast bowling all-rounder, who was the joint-highest wicket-taker in the ICC T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier, while scoring 72 in 36 against Scotland in a hard-fought loss.

Talking about the weather at Malahide Cricket Club Ground in Dublin, it will be increasingly windy with periods of rain, according to the listings on AccuWeather. The probability of precipitation stands at 91% along with a yellow rainfall warning during the first T20I match on August 18, Friday.
This could mean a delayed start to the proceedings for the highly-anticipated Ireland vs India contest. Also, the maximum temperature is expected to reach 19-degree Celsius, while the real feel could be 16-degree Celsius at the venue.
