Match Preview
After winning the first two matches of the five-match T20I series against Australia, India lost the third fixture by a margin of five wickets. Men in Blue will look forward to bounce back in the fourth clash of the series, slated to be hosted on December 1, Friday, at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur. Suryakumar Yadav-led men opened the series with a two-wicket win over the Aussies and extended the win streak to 2-0 in the second game.
In the third match, Ruturaj Gaikwad’s unbeaten century powered the hosts to 223/3 in 20 overs, but a century from Glenn Maxwell helped the visitors win the match by five wickets, and hence, recorded their first victory pulling the series back to 2-1.
Toss Prediction
In the first fixture of the series, Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav won the toss over the visiting captain Matthew Wade. However, Australia’s captain Matthew Wade emerged on top of the toss battle in the second and third fixtures of the series. For the forthcoming game, we think Yadav will once again be backed by luck, and he will win the toss over Wade.
Win Possibility
While Suryakumar Yadav-led team had one change in their playing XI for the 3rd T20I, Australia announced a few major changes to their squad. 2023 ODI World Cup-winning players including the likes of Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Adam Zampa, and others are to fly back home, and coming in reinforcements include Ben Dwarshuis and spinner Chris Green, who will join the squad in Raipur.
However, the hosts are in their red-hot form and will look to bounce back after a loss in the third T20I in Guwahati, continuing their momentum from their first and second match.
Indian team has big hitters including the likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad and skipper Suryakumar Yadav, who can hit long-range shots to guide the team to a 200-plus score. We think the 2007 T20 World Cup winners are clear favourites to win the upcoming match.
Predicted Powerplay Score and Average First Inning Score
The Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium hasn’t hosted many T20I matches and has hosted only one ODI match. The average first-inning score of the stadium is 146, and considering this, the first-inning score for the upcoming game is likely to be around 175-180 with the powerplay hovering around 40-45.
