India and Bangladesh kicked off their second Test at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur on Friday, September 27. In the first and opening Test of the series, India registered a massive 280-run win over their counterparts and gained an early lead in the series. The match saw a delayed start, owing to the overnight showers in the city of Kanpur. However, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and invited the rivals to bat first.

While action finally unfolded on the pacer-friendly pitch at Green Park, rain continued to play a spoilsport and frustrated the game as well as both sides remained in a state of anticipation. Only 35 overs of play was possible with heavy downpour forcing covers to be brought up earlier and calling off the game for the rest of the day.
