The Asian Games 2022, the biggest multi-sport event in Asia, will be held in Hangzhou, China from September 23 to October 8, 2023. The event was postponed from 2022 to 2023 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. India, one of the leading sporting nations in the continent, will be sending a large contingent of athletes to the Asian Games, hoping to improve on their performance from the previous edition in Jakarta in 2018, where they won 69 medals, including 15 golds.

So far, more than 150 Indian athletes have qualified for the Asian Games across various sports, based on their rankings, performances, or trials. The squad for the men’s and women’s hockey teams is yet to be announced but the teams have qualified for the tournament.
