The D-day is here when India will take on Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup 2023 final at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday, 17th September. While it makes for a significant one as a win today will take the Men in Blue to their eighth Asia Cup title and fifth against Sri Lanka.
On the other hand, the day also celebrates 73rd birthday of the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Several cricketers and other celebrities took to social media to extend their wishes on PM’s 73rd birthday. Talking about the Men in Blue, skipper Rohit Sharma will take the field in his 250th ODI match, which will also be his 450th international match. Team India finished at the top of the points table in the Super 4s, registering two wins and losing one against Bangladesh. Whereas Sri Lanka ended the Super 4s just below them at the second place with a comparatively lower NRR.
