After the T20 leagues reached the zenith of their popularity, T10 leagues started to come up. The shortest format of competitive cricket is going to take over the sport as India is set to host a tennis-ball T10 tournament called the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) in 2024. The league will have a total of six teams participating in the tournament, each owned by franchises belonging to Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, and Srinagar.

The tournament has been scheduled to kick off from March 2, 2024, to March 9, 2024, with all 19 games set to be played in Mumbai. The teams will fight for a prize money of a whopping INR 1 crore, while the runners-up will get a total of INR 50 lakh. The tournament aims to highlight the street cricket players and their unadulterated skill and energy on a large scale.

The upcoming league will be executed in the round-robin format, which means that each team will be required to play a total of five games. The top-four teams will then move to the play-off stage, where the tournament will follow the same format as the Indian Premier League. Talking about the owners of the teams, five renowned names in the Indian film industry have bought the ownership rights of five teams.

While Mumbai was bought by Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Ram Charan bought Sri Nagar and Hyderabad, respectively. Suriya Sivakumar went with Chennai, as Hrithik Roshan purchased the Bengaluru team. Players who wish to register for the league will be able to do so, and can later modify the city trial selections as well.
