Star batter Nicholas Pooran turned out to be a star for Lucknow Super Giants in the fourth match of IPL 2025 against Delhi Capitals in Visakhapatnam. Batting first, LSG posted a total of 209 runs for the loss oeight wickets in their 20 overs. The momentum was laid by the fiery half-centuries by Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran respectively. Marsh got out after scoring 72 runs off 26 balls while Pooran smashed 75 off 30 balls.
Coming to bat first after losing the toss, LSG lost their first wicket in the form of Aiden Markram at the score of 46 runs in 4.4 overs.. After that, Nicholas Pooran joined Mitchell Marsh at the crease as the duo put up a partnership of 87 runs for the second wicket. Marsh got out after scoring 72(36) runs, hitting six fours and as many sixes.

After Mitchell Marsh’s wicket, Nicholas Pooran took charge of the innings and ended up scoring 75(30) runs, smashing six fours and seven sixes. During his knock, Pooran also smashed 28 runs in a single over with four sixes and a four. After that, David Miller gave finishing touches with his unbeaten 27* runs off 19 balls, hitting one four and two sixes as LSG posted 209/8 in their 20 overs. For Delhi Capitals, Mitchell Starc took three scalps, Kuldeep Yadav took two, while Vipraj Nigam and Mukesh Kumar scalped a wicket each.
Chasing the winning target, Delhi Capitals looked in a tricky situation against LSG as they lost six wickets under 150 runs. However, Ashutosh Sharma's unbeaten 66 turned the match in the favour of the hosts, guiding them to one-wicket win.
