
Indian women’s cricketer Rajeshwari Gayakwad, who is known for her spin bowling, has landed in a controversy. Reportedly, the Indian cricketer got into a physical altercation with an employee at a supermarket in Vijaypur. The 31-year-old was at the supermarket to buy some cosmetic products but things got out of hand Gayakwad had a heated argument with one of the employees there.
In the CCTV footage released by the supermarket, it is seen that some of Gayakwad’s relatives/friends were seen barging into the shop and thrashing the owner. It’s reported that the cricketer was not pleased over the price of some products she was to purchase and went to the in-charge of the supermarket. During the discussion over the price, the conversation quickly escalated in which the two shared a heated exchange of words.
After the incident took place, both parties were fuming and were looking to file a police complaint. However, it’s reported that both parties have reached common ground and have agreed to not take any legal action.
“The employees of the supermarket shared the CCTV footage and initially made up their mind to file a complaint with the police. But later both parties settled the matter amicably without registering a police complaint.

Notably, Gayakwad made her international debut on 19 January 2014 in an ODI against Sri Lanka. Rajeshwari Gayakwad was a part of the Indian team that made it to the finals of the 2017 Women's Cricket World Cup. Although India had to face defeat by nine runs at the hands of England in the final, Rajeswari took 5 wickets for 15 runs in a crucial match against New Zealand, which was the best performance of an Indian bowler in the Women's ODI World Cup.
