Inter Milan faced a frustrating 1-0 loss against Fiorentina last night at the San Siro stadium as the visitors extended their winning streak to six matches in the Serie A 2022-23. During the match, Fiorentina defender Luca Ranieri faked an injury to enable his teammate Sofyan Amrabat to break his Ramadan fast, which received a mixed reaction from the fans.
The holy month of Ramadan is underway, however, Muslim players are not showing any intent to slow down on the football pitch and it was evident from the Saturday's game between Inter Milan and Fiorentina in the Serie A.
During the final minutes into the game, Ranieri faked an injury to allow his Muslim teammate Amrabat to break his fast. However, the fans in the stadium were not having any of it as the match was few minutes away to get finished and their team were trailing behind with one goal. The 26-year-old Moroccan midfielder broke his fast by eating a banana and drinking water.
