Chennai Super Kings are going to take on Gujarat Titans in the grand finale of the Indian Premier League 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad now on May 29, Monday. CSK have beaten GT in the Qualifier 1 at Chepauk by 15 runs to become the first team to reach the summit clash of the league. On the other hand, in the Qualifier 2, Gujarat defeated Mumbai by 62 at home to play in this weekend’s showpiece event.
Talking about the league stage meeting between Super Kings and the Titans, it was the opening game of the IPL 2023 season, coincidentally at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where the hosts defeated the visitors by five wickets in the last over to start their title defence on a strong note. The players with major involvement in taking the four-time champions Chennai Super Kings to the grand finale are Ruturaj Gaikwad, Devon Conway, and Ravindra Jadeja, while for defending champions Gujarat Titans, it is Shubman Gill, Rashid Khan, and Mohammed Shami.
After the rain played spoilsport on May 28, Sunday, the IPL 2023 final will be played on reserve day. As far as the weather in Ahmedabad goes on May 29, Monday, there is a chance of rain and thunderstorm at the Narendra Modi Stadium, especially during day time. According to AccuWeather, the probability of precipitation stands at 40 per cent with 1.2 mm of rain expected. The maximum temperature could get up to 39°Celsius, while the minimum temperature might reach around 28°Celsius.
