Rajasthan Royals defeated defending champions Gujarat Titans by three wickets in match number 23 of IPL 2023. GT looked dominant at one stage of the game as they posted 177 runs in the first innings and reduced RR to 55/4 in 10.3 overs. But Sanju Samson's magic changed the complexion of this game.

Sanju Samson played a scintillating knock of 60 from 32 balls, and Shimron Hetmyer destroyed the GT bowling attack in the penultimate overs of the match by scoring an unbeaten 56 from 26 balls. Mohammed Shami and Hardik Pandya together registered bowling figures of 3/49 in eight overs.
