Rahmanullah Gurbaz recorded the highest score an Afghan player has smashed in the Indian Premier League as he played a brilliant knock of 81 runs off 39 deliveries against Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League 2023. Gurbaz opened the innings for Kolkata Knight Riders as he came to bat instead of Jason Roy and was brutal in his approach against Titans’ bowlers from the beginning. Twitter is all praise for the Afghan player and are lauding him for his explosive innings.
As the 21-year-old player overtook his 57-run mark he himself set against Royal Challengers Bangalore earlier in the tournament, fans are praising him for his brilliant inning leading KKR to put up a score of 179 for their guests to chase. He finally went down after mistiming a full toss from Noor Ahmad, which led to Rashid Khan taking a catch in the sixteenth over. He hit five 4s and seven 6s against Titans’ helpless bowling.
