The reigning champions, Chennai Super Kings have finally released the list of their retained players before the IPL 2024 auction extravaganza. Chennai Super Kings, under the leadership of former India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, went on to lift their fifth title in 2023, equalling Mumbai-based franchise, Mumbai Indians’ skipper Rohit Sharma.
The Yellow Army has a remaining purse of ₹ 1.50 crore, but with Ben Stokes making himself unavailable for IPL 2024 and Ambati Rayudu announcing his retirement, as well as an increase in the player purse, the defending champions have a minimum of ₹ 29.25 crore.
