Gujarat Titans (GT) emerged as one of the strongest teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL) when they went on to clinch the title in their inaugural season in 2022 and finished as the runners-up in 2023. However, with Shubman Gill as new skipper, GT failed to make it to the top four in IPL 2024 and will be looking to get back to their winning ways in IPL 2025. Led by Gill, GT will begin the hunt for their second IPL title as they will face Punjab Kings in their opening match of the season at Narendra Modi Stadium on March 25.
It will be the 18th edition of the IPL which is set to begin with a match between Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Eden Gardens on March 23. Total 10 teams from different cities will lock horns to get their hands on the title on May 25. Total 74 matches will be played throughout the season including 70 matches in the league stages. The top four teams will qualify for the playoffs stage of the tournament. The first qualifier and the Eliminator will be played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on May 20 and 21 respectively, while the second qualifier is scheduled to be played in Kolkata on May 23 followed by the final at the same ground on May 25.
GT IPL 2025 Schedule
GT will be coming with some new faces in the upcoming season of the IPL. They have emerged as one of the strongest teams in their first three seasons with one title and two finals. Now, Shubman Gill, who is set to lead GT for the second consecutive season, will be aiming to move one from the previous year’s disappointment and lead his team to the title for the second time.
