On Monday, November 25, following the conclusion of the IPL 2025 mega auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the Punjab Kings (PBKS) have completed their squad for the upcoming season of the league. Shreyas Iyer became the second highest paid player in the history of the IPL after PBKS shelled out a whopping INR 26.75 Crore to avail his services, and it is highly likely that they could appoint him as the new captain of the franchise.
After retaining just two players i.e., Shashank Singh and Prabhsimran Singh, Punjab Kings had a massive purse of INR 112 Crore to build a squad, which they did in quite an impressive manner. The likes of Shreyas Iyer, Nehal Wadhera, Yuzvendra Chahal, Arshdeep Singh, Harpreet Brar, Marcus Stoinis, and Glenn Maxwell, are some of the key players picked up by PBKS in the IPL 2025 mega auction, to give their squad a new twist ahead of the upcoming season.
