The schedule for the upcoming season of Indian Premier League (IPL) is finally out. In the opening match of the season, the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will host Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on March 22. As KKR are yet to announce their skipper for the upcoming season, RCB will be going ahead with Rajat Patidar as their new skipper in IPL 2025.

It will be the 18th edition of IPL, where 10 teams from different cities will locks horns to get their hands on the title on May 25. A total of 74 matches will be played throughout the season including 70 matches in the league stages. The top four teams will qualify for the playoffs stage of the tournament. The first qualifier and the Eliminator will be played in Hyderabad on May 20 and 21 respectively, while the second qualifier is scheduled to be played in Kolkata on May 23 followed by the final at the same ground on May 25.

RCB will play their first two matches of the season against KKR and CSK respectively in away venues. After that, Rajat Patidar and his men will finally play their first home game against Gujarat Titans at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 2. They will end their league campaign against KKR at M.Chinnaswamy on May 17.
