Former England captain Eoin Morgan went all-in for Australian World Cup-winning captain Pat Cummins in the mock auction for the Indian Premier League 2024 season. Morgan paid a hefty price of INR 17.5 Crore to bring Cummins into the Sunrisers Hyderabad squad in the mock auction organised by Jion Cinema, the official live-streaming platform for the IPL.

The event is called Match Centre Live Auction War Room which is live-streamed on Jio Cinema and includes former cricketers like Suresh Raina, Eoin Morgan, Anil Kumble, and Parthiv Patel. Aakash Chopra, Mike Hesson, RP Singh, Abhinav Mukund & Robin Uthappa will also be representing a few franchises.

Coming back to the bidding war for Pat Cummins,  Eoin Morgan  beat the likes of Parthiv Patel to pick the former Kolkata Knight Riders star. Talking about other picks in this mock auction, Patel went to pick South African pace sensation,  Gerald Coetzee for a massive prize of INR 18 crore.

Former Chennai Super Kings batter Suresh Raina representing the five-time champions paid big bucks for Aussie big-hitter Travis Head. Raina won the bidding war as Raina agreed to INR 7.5 crore. Other big bidding wars in this mock auction were for New Zealand all-rounder Rachin Ravindra, who was picked up by the Punjab Kings for INR 7 crore.
