Cricket Ireland on Friday, August 4 announced 15-member squad for their upcoming T20I series against India. The Cricket Ireland took to Twitter to name their 15-member squad for the three-match T20I series, starting August 18. Notably, India will lock horns with Ireland in the three-match series at the Village in Dublin before the Asia Cup 2023.
In the 15-man squad, Ireland has included all-rounders Fionn Hand and Gareth Delany. While Cricket Ireland has recalled Hand in the shortest format of the game, Gareth Delany returns after rehabilitation from injury.
“While the majority of the squad reflects the playing group that successfully qualified for the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup last week, the selectors have recalled Leinster Lightning all-rounder Fionn Hand and have included Gareth Delany who is returning from injury after breaking his wrist in Zimbabwe in June,” Cricket Ireland said in a statement on the website.
While the upcoming series against India is the first T20I ahead of the next World Cup, Ireland national selector Andrew White said, “We currently have around 15 T20 Internationals scheduled between now and the World Cup, so it is important that we use each of these to continue to build on areas that the coaching team has identified.”

Jasprit Bumrah to lead Team India in 3-match series
While India will be reaching Ireland after the conclusion of the five-match T20I series against West Indies, they will play the three T20I which are scheduled for 18, 20 and 23 August.
The BCCI has named it’s 15-member squad for the upcoming series, which will be led by the pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah.
