Young India and Rajasthan Royals (RR) opener Yashasvi Jaiswal spoke highly on the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) during a promotional event ahead of their match against Delhi Capitals (DC). The 22-year-old, who is set to feature in the T20 World Cup 2024, set to be played in the United States of America (USA) and West Indies in June also spoke of his preparation with the Royals seeing the marquee event.
“I keep a lot of focus on my process and I try my best in the practice sessions and surround myself with right kind of people and keep working hard,” Jaiswal said during the promotional event.
When asked about his preparations in the Royals’ camp, Jaiswal replied, “It’s going great right now, and I hope we can continue with the momentum, prepare well and keep focusing on the process for upcoming matches.” According to the Indian opener, one of the benefits of playing in the IPL is the familiarity with opposition, which helps in doing a proper homework before the T20 World Cup 2024.

Is IPL, best preparation platform for T20 World Cup?
The young Indian opener, who is currently playing trade for table-toppers Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2024, went on to explain why IPL is one of the best platforms to prepare for the T20 World Cup. Speaking at a promotional event, Jaiswal said, “I feel that IPL is the right platform for T20 World Cup where we can play well and learn a lot and gain a lot of experience.”
“We are going to benefit a lot. We are playing with the same players in the IPL and we know them and we can prepare well for it,” said Jaiswal, who is set to feature in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024.
The Mumbai opener also added that playing in the IPL is a great experience, seeing it brings several challenges with different venues being the host of it. “It’s a lot of fun to play the IPL. The way it’s played in India with the kind of matches we have, they are very challenging in different venues. So it’s a great experience,” Jaiswal further added.
