Philadelphia Eagles centre Jason Kelce has reportedly retired from the National Football League after the humiliating 9-32 Wildcard loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With this loss, last season's Super Bowl runners-up were eliminated from the NFL 2023-24 post-season before the National Football Conference division final.

Kelce has grown into an Eagles legend with his six postseason appearances and two Super Bowl trips over the past seven seasons. Brother of Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce also is just the fifth center in NFL history with at least six All-Pro selections.
Coming back to Jason Kelce's possible retirement, the 36-year-old told his teammates in the locker room, after the Buccaneers' loss, that he is retiring, as per ESPN. The report further revealed that Kelce was emotional after the result declined to comment and said, "No guys, not today."

While Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson told reporters that the 2018 Super Bowl winner "hinted" that this would be his final season. "I love him. He's one of the best to ever play the game," Johnson said. "The things he can do on the football field athletically -- I don't think we'll see another one like him for a long time.
