Elon Musk has taken to X once again to call out Mark Zuckerberg. This time the CEO has responded to Zuckerberg’s latest provocation on Threads about Musk not being serious about the fight. Elon responded by pointing out a number of times a fight has been offered to Zuckerberg and subsequently declined. As the tweet said, Musk offered to fight Zuckerberg in his Palo Alto home instead of in Italy, and screenshots of their conversation were shared by Musk’s biographer. The 39-year-old insisted on fighting Musk in proper competitive conditions.

The X response comes following Zuckerberg’s intention to move on from the gimmick fight. The Meta CEO stated that he wanted to fight serious fighters who respected the sport and not Musk. He also explained that Elon had dodged a number of opportunities to have a real cage fight that had been organized by the UFC. Zuckerberg and UFC President Dana White had been in talks for a long time about setting up a real bout between the two billionaires. Musk seems to be more interested in the showmanship of the event, however, and has instead offered locations and fights which would generate more press coverage. He has also declined to fight Zuckerberg on the basis of health concerns.

Musk stated, “I joked on X about fighting Zuck Zuck then said, “SEND ME LOCATION” Italy graciously offered a Colosseum Zuck declined I suggested his home as “safe space”. Tragically, he was ahem “traveling” Is there anywhere he will fight?”

Musk recently said that the fight would go ahead in Italy, at the colosseum, though it would be delayed as a result of him needing surgery on his shoulder. Zuckerberg is only interested in a properly organized cage fight in the octagon.

Zuckerberg told Musk to get s erious

In screenshots shared by Elon Musk’s biographer, Walter Isaacson, Elon is shown asking Zuckerberg for a practice bout at the latter’s Palo Alto home. This was declined swiftly by Zuckerberg who told Elon to practice MMA and do the fight soon if it was going to happen.

He said, “If you still want to do a real MMA fight then you should train on your own and let me know when you're ready to compete. I dont want to keep hyping something that will never happen, so you should either decide youre going to do this and do it soon or we should move on.”

Zuckerberg is frustrated with Musk’s lack of commitment to a real cage fight, with the former only being offered publicity stunts instead of actual MMA bouts. As of now it looks highly unlikely that a serious fight between the two under proper MMA rules and conditions takes place, but nothing is ever truly for certain when the X CEO is involved.
