Jamshedpur FC have got a promising start to their campaign in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 with 2-1 win in their opening match of the season against FC Goa on Tuesday. They will be looking to continue their winning momentum throughout the season and get their hands on the ISL trophy for the first time. Jamshedpur FC made their ISL debut in the 2017-18 and since then, they have qualified for the playoffs just once.
Jamshedpur FC have finished at the top of the points table in the ISL 2021-22. In that season, they also ended up winning the ISL Shield. Apart from that, Jamshedpur haven’t been able to qualify for the playoffs. Jamshedpur FC have come with a strong squad in the Indian Super League 2024-25. Under head coach Khalid Jamil, Jamshedpur bought some impactful players in their squad. They have roped in Albino Gomes as a replacement for Rehenesh TP after Indian goalkeeper moved to Mumbai City FC. Apart from that, Ashutosh Mehta and Shubham Sarangi are also added in the squad to take charge of the right-back position.
One of the big additions in Jamshedpur FC for ISL 2024-25 is Javier Hernandez, who will take charge as a midfielder. The Spanish footballer is regarded as one of the most experienced and skillful players in the ISL history.
