Mohun Bagan Super Giant are one of the oldest football clubs in India and will be seen in action again in the upcoming season of the Indian Super League (ISL) in 2024-25. The Kolkata-based football club was founded in 1889 and have a great legacy in the history of Indian football. 

Mohun Bagan Super Giant will be coming with high expectations in the ISL 2024-25, after recently winning their maiden Winners Shield last season. The also finished as the runners-up in the previous edition of the ISL in 2023 where they ended up losing the final match against Mumbai City FC. However, Mohun Bagan Super Giant have won the ISL title once. They clinched their maiden ISL trophy in 2022 after defeating Bengaluru FC. 

Now, Mohun Bagan will be coming with a new head coach Jose Molina and will be looking to have another great season. They have formed a strong squad for ISL 2024-25 and will be looking to get their hands on the trophy for the second time. 

ISL 2024-25: Mohun Bagan Squad

Mohun Bagan have released some key players from their squad ahead of the 2024-25 Indian Super League. Anwar Ali, who plays as a centre back terminated his contract with Mohun Bagan to join East Bengal FC. Apart from that, Mohun Bagan also released Spanish defender Hector Yuste. Players like Brendan Hamill, Hugo Boumous, Armando Sadiku, and Kiyan Nassiri also ended their contracts with Mohun Bagan to join different franchises. 

However, Mohun Bagan have added some strong and impactful players in their squad for ISL 2024-25. They signed Jamie Maclaren, who has 112 goals to his name from 150 matches for Melbourne City. He was also a part of the Australian football team in 2022 FIFA World Cup where he scored 11 goals. Along with this, Mohun Bagan also signed former Mumbai City midfielder Greg Stewart, who has 21 goals in 50 appearances in the ISL.
