However, the opponent's Team Director Mickey Arthur was left disappointed after their defeat against India in the World Cup. Arthur didn't mince words and said that the match seemed more like a bilateral encounter. Arthur said, “Look, I’d be lying if I said it did. It didn’t seem like an ICC event to be brutally honest. It seemed like a bilateral series; it seemed like a BCCI event. I didn’t hear Dil Dil Pakistan coming through the microphones too often tonight."

Not only this, but the Pakistan Director added that he isn't using the one-sided crowd as an excuse, but it plays a role. He commented, “So yes, that does play a role, but I’m not going to use that as an excuse because for us it was about living the moment, it was about the next ball and it was about how we were going to combat the Indian, the Indian players tonight."

Speaking of the match, it was India's eighth consecutive win over the Men in Green in the World Cups. In addition, it was for the first time in seven years that both the teams locked horns in a match on the Indian soil.
