Star Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja reacted as ace spinner Ravichandran Ashwin joined Chennai Super Kings ahead of the IPL 2025. Notably, on Sunday, November 24, Ashwin was bought by the five-time IPL champions for INR 9.75 Crore at the IPL 2025 mega auction held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The auction saw ten IPL franchises engaging in fierce bidding war to rope in the best of the best players for the forthcoming season of the tournament.
Ashwin, formerly associated with Rajasthan Royals for three years, entered the auction with a base price of INR 2 Crore. The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side engaged in a bidding war with Lucknow Super Giants but outbid the side and other teams to acquire the services of the ace spinner.

As Ashwin made his way back to the five-time winners, Jadeja, his team India teammate reacted and expressed happiness at the same. The all-rounder reacted to a reel posted by the franchise showcasing their reunion at the Chennai-based franchise. The reel was captioned, “This Duo. In Chepauk. The absolute feels.” The all-rounder, currently representing India in the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 Down Under, reacted to the reel and commented, “Hahahahahahah finally this is happening.”
Speaking of Ashwin, the 38-year-old was part of the Yellow Army from 2009 to 2015, where he won the IPL title twice. Following it, he moved to RPS in 2016, PBKS for IPL 2018 to 2019, DC for the 2020 and 2021 edition before being a part of the Rajasthan Royals for IPL 2022 to IPL 2024. In his 15-year-old career, Ashwin has played 212 games and claimed 180 wickets to his name.
