England captain Ben Stokes was left in awe after being dismissed by Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah in the first Test of the five-match series. Playing in Hyderabad, England started with bat, after winning the toss, but were put under pressure by the Indian spinners. The Indian trio of R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel ran through the English batting but Ben Stokes managed to hold one end up.

Coming in at 121-4, Stokes started cautiously before aggressively smashing the Indian bowlers all around the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium. As the English captain faced Jasprit Bumrah, Stokes sneaked a boundary from an outside edge. Then on the immediate next ball, Bumrah hurried Stokes with pace and cleaned him up to bundle out England at 246. After the wicket, the England captain was in awe and had a priceless reaction.

Further talking about the English batting, the visitors showed some positive intent and played quality strokes to find boundaries at regular intervals. But despite the aggressive BazBall approach, Indian spinners combined to pick up eight wickets. While among the pacers, Bumrah emerged as the top performer with figures of 2-28 from 8.3 overs.
