The Indian team management is set to rest fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah for the third Test against England in Rajkot. The Men in Blue came back in the five-match series after winning the second Test by 106 runs on the back of Bumrah's nine wickets across both innings. The match also saw Yashasvi Jaiswal score 209 in the first innings and Shubman Gill hit 104 in the second innings.

Coming back to Bumrah, the Mumbai Indians fast bowler bowled 34 overs in the second Test in Vizag to showcase his manic ability and also reach 150 wickets in the red-ball format. Before Vizag, Bumrah delivered 25 overs in the first Test which England won.

Hence, the team management is planning to rest Jasprit Bumrah for the third Test in Rajkot, according to Cricbuzz. Replacing the Gujarat speedster, Mohammed Siraj is expected to be recalled by the selectors. Similarly, KL Rahul, who also missed the second Test, is also set to return to the squad after being ruled out due to injury.

On the back of his incredible effort, Jasprit Bumrah was named the Player of the Match for the second Test. Talking about his performance, Bumrah said, "As I said before, I don't look at numbers. As a youngster, I did that and it made me excited. But now it's an added baggage. As a youngster that is the first delivery I learned (yorker). Had seen the legends of the game. Waqar, Wasim and even Zaheer Khan. We're going through a transition so I feel it's my responsibility to help them in any way I can."
