The latest buzz in the Ultimate Fighting Championship is the brand new bout which they have managed to add in the card of a forthcoming event. This is set to be the fight between Joaquin Buckley who is going to take on Abdul Razak Alhassan in the competition in what is a three-round affair.
From what is being told so far, the middleweight bout is set to take place on January 15. Although the promoters have not yet made an official announcement, credible sources including the MMA Ideas Instagram page shared the news.
Notably, both the middleweight fighters, who are so far unranked did manage to show some resilience by coming back on the winning track post a defeat in their respective bouts. However, that won't be enough for the competitive sportsmen and each of them would want to win this contest to remain automated for the middleweight roster.
Here is what MMA Ideas posted with the caption, "BREAKING- per sources Joaquin Buckely vs Abdul Razak Alhassan in the works for UFC Event on January 15th !!! Great Fight!!"
Ever since the news has come to the fore, there has been a lot of anticipation regarding the fight with fans keen to witness two fighters with some great finishes to their credit already.
A glimpse of the current career numbers of the fighters shows that while Abdul Razak Alhassan was undefeated before his UFC debut, he has proven himself as quote a finisher to deal with registering each one of his 11 wins through the knock out method.
Moreover, he was even the recipient of the "Performance of the Night" bonus during his first match at the octagon. However, while he lost the second bout, he came back to complete a hat-trick of wins. However, the form hasn't been that great in the recent past as the 36-year-old won just one out of four fights since 2020 but his most recent performance was a victory.
Similarly, Joaquin Buckley has an overall 13-4 record in his professional fighting career but has a great reputation of being a finisher with ten knockouts to his credit. While he lose his first fight at the UFC circuit, he quickly got going in the wins column. Much like his opponent, even the New Mansa would want to win two in a row from here on.
