Rajasthan Royals fast bowler Jofra Archer went on to register an unwanted record in the ongoing IPL 2025 clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Notably, SRH went on to smash the second-highest IPL total as they posted a mammoth 286/6 in the second match of IPL 2025. It turned out to be a bad day for RR bowlers but even worse for Archer as he went on to concede 76 runs in his spell of just four overs against SRH.

Jofra Archer is now at the top of the list of the bowlers to concede most number of runs in an IPL innings. He bowled with a disastrous economy of 19 runs per over and went wicketless throughout his four overs. He surpassed Mohit Sharma, who conceded 73 runs in his four overs while bowling for Gujarat Titans in a match against Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024.

Ishan Kishan smashes maiden IPL ton in first match for SRH

Talking about the match, it turned out to be a memorable outing for Ishan Kishan, who was playing his first-ever match for his new franchise, Sunrisers Hyderabad. Coming to bat first after winning the toss, SRH got a great start as Abhishek Sharma got out after a quickfire 24(11) runs. After that, Travis Head and Ishan Kishan took charge of the innings and put up a partnership of 85 runs. Head got out after smashing 67 runs off 31 balls, hitting nine fours and three sixes.

Ishan Kishan went on to complete his maiden IPL hundred surpassing his previous best score of 99 runs. The left-hander remained unbeaten on 106 runs off 47 balls, hitting 11 fours and six sixes. Apart from that, Nitish Kumar Reddy (30 off 15) and Heinrich Klaasen (34 off 14) also contributed with quickfire knocks as SRH posted 286/6 in their 20 overs registering the second highest total in IPL history.
