Former San Antonio Spurs center Kevin Willis reported to police that almost $100,000 worth of Championship Spurs jerseys had been stolen from his storage unit in Roswell, Georgia. The crime was reported to local police by the ex-NBA player on Tuesday morning after the 60-year-old noticed that the 10 title units belonging to former Spurs players were missing. Willis reported that the stolen jerseys are worth six figures when asked by the police department. Another rack of assorted clothing worth around $9000 was also stolen by the thieves.

Police arrived on the scene to discover that the storage unit’s lock had been cut and placed inside the storage unit. Willis informed the police that the last time he had seen the storage unit was sometime in June and that he wanted an investigation as he intended to press charges for theft. As of now no arrests have been made, nor has the police released a timeline of when the theft might have occurred or if there are any suspects in the case.

Willis said about the stolen items, “"This stuff came from when I was playing. These have been around for 20 years and they took all the high-profile personnel that was there. They took all of those. And they left four of them back or something like that."

It is to be noted that Willis was picked in the first round of the 1984 draft. He played for the Hawks for 11 seasons before being traded to the Heat. The veteran eventually won an NBA ring with the Spurs in the 2002-03 season.

Kevin Willis turns into a fashion industry icon

Willis is involved in the fashion industry through his company Willis & Walker, which caters to taller men above six feet three in height. The concept for the business came about as a result of Willis facing a lack of clothing options while growing up taller than normal.

“When I was growing up, ‘big and tall’ meant taking a suit cut for a regular-sized guy, and making it bigger,” Willis said, “It wasn’t tailored, it looked like you were wearing a box.”

His company aimed to provide fashionable options to taller men, and has been worn by NBA players like Michael Jordan, Shaquille O’Neal, Steve Smith and Dikembe Mutombo. The company collaborated with the NBA Players’ Association to create custom bags for each All Star in 2018 along with Italian company Milano.
