Team India are currently on a winning spree as they won their first three matches in the ongoing ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023. The three victories included the wins against Australia, Afghanistan, and recently Pakistan on Saturday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. India chinaman spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who picked up two wickets against Pakistan, credited skipper Rohit Sharma for his success.

The Men in Blue displayed a clinical performance against Pakistan to win the match by seven wickets with 117 balls remaining. Five Indian bowlers including Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Siraj, and Hardik Pandya picked up two wickets each as they restricted Babar Azam's side to 191 runs in 43 overs.

Kuldeep Yadav dismissed Saud Shakeel and Iftikhar Ahmed in one over as he went on to register a bowling figure of 2 for 35 in 10 overs. In a post-match mixed zone interaction, Kuldeep revealed India's approach against Pakistan and told the media, "They were not attacking too much, so I was just focusing on my pace and variations. In my first seven overs, I may not have got wickets, but I was hitting the good spots, and the ball was coming out well. On such pitches, where not much is happening and a partnership is on, it is important to bowl on the spot."

Kuldeep credited Rohit Sharma for his twin success in an over against their neighbours. He stated, "Rohit bhai told me to bowl an extra over, and that worked as Siraj had just got Babar out and broken a good stand. I got two wickets in that over, which made it difficult for them to build the innings again."

With their statement win against Pakistan, India clinch the top spot in the World Cup standings with three wins in three matches. The hosts are scheduled to face Bangladesh at the MCA Stadium in Pune on Thursday, October 19.
