After India defeated Bangladesh in the first Test by mammoth 280 runs, there have been speculations that the hosts can make a few changes in their playing XI for the second Test that will take place at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur from September 27 to October 1. This has increased chances for leg spinner Kuldeep Yadav to feature in the playing XI for the second Test against Bangladesh, and the match will also be played in his hometown. India’s assistant coach Abhishek Nayar opened up on India’s playing XI for the final Test against Bangladesh in Kanpur.
With Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja being the first choice spinners in the longest format, India could go with one more spinner in the playing XI at Green Park Stadium which has been a paradise for the spinners. Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel are the two spinner who could join Ashwin and Jadeja in the attack in the upcoming Test. However, being a local boy, the fans are anticipating Kuldeep to feature on Kanpur Test for India.
I can't give you the playing XI right now: Abhishek Nayar
During his latest press conference ahead of the Kanpur Test, assistant coach Abhishek Nayar talked about the changes in the Indian playing XI. Nayar said that the playing XI hasn’t been decided yet. Nayar also said that they aren’t sure what type of pitch they are going to get for the second Test. India will be looking to clinch the two-match Test series with a win in the Kanpur Test. After that, the hosts are scheduled to play three T20Is against Bangladesh starting on October 6.
"I can't give you the playing XI right now. Everyone is available. Don't know which surface we are going to play on yet. Conditions would be a big factor in deciding the team combination. Conditions have changed here so much, we expect a sunny day here tomorrow," Abhishek Nayar was quoted as saying by Sportskeeda.
