The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Indiana Pacers in the final by 123-109 to win the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, December 9. LeBron James was named as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament after he put on stellar performances for the Lakers in the quarter-final and semi-final in particular.

On the night of the NBA In-Season Tournament final, the Lakers stamped their authority over the Pacers, dominating them from the beginning till the end. After securing a 65-60-point lead at the end of the first half, the Lakers ran away with the contest in the second half, thanks to the incredible day on court for Anthony Davis, scoring 41 points, 20 rebounds, and five assists.

Austin Reaves put together 28 points, two rebounds, and three assists, while the MVP LeBron James got 24 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists, playing a key role for the Lakers in brushing aside the Pacers to take home the NBA In-Season Tournament trophy. Tyrese Haliburton and Bennedict Mathurin scored 20 points each for the Pacers but it was far from enough for the team to pose a threat to their opponents.

After winning the NBA In-Season Tournament in its inaugural edition, LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers has added one more silverware in his never-ending list of accolades in professional basketball. He is a 4x NBA champion, 4x NBA Finals MVP, 4x NBA MVP, 19x NBA All-Star, 3x NBA All-Star MVP, and the NBA Rookie of the Year.

At the international level, LeBron James has won two Olympic gold medals for the United States of America during the 2008 Beijing and 2012 London games. He also has a bronze medal from the 2004 Athens Olympics in his career too.
