Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James has requested the NBA commissioner Adam Silver that he wants to own a team in Las Vegas. While speaking at the press conference after the Lakers’ pre-season 119-115 loss against the Phoenix Suns, James made a special plea to the league commissioner about his ownership aspirations in the future.

James talked about how he wants a team in Sin City and expressed that as Adam Silver, who is currently in Abu Dhabi for the Milwaukee Bucks and Atlanta Hawks' preseason, goes through the transcript of every interview. Hence he wants to put forth his request.

"I would love to bring a team here at some point. That would be amazing. I know Adam is in Abu Dhabi right now, I believe," James said. "But he probably sees every single interview and transcript that comes through from NBA players. So, I want the team here, Adam. Thank you."

This hasn’t been the first time LeBron James has expressed a desire to own an NBA team. In June, on an episode of his YouTube show "The Shop: Uninterrupted," James first revealed his goal. "I want a team in Vegas," said James, who already has an ownership stake in Premier League club Liverpool FC and the Major League Baseball team Boston Red Sox. "I want the team in Vegas."

The King also addressed that Las Vegas has the best sports fans in the world and reiterated the fact that he would be bringing a team here in the future. "It's the best fanbase in the world, and I would love to bring a team here at some point," James said of the city.

The sentiment about the Las Vegas fans was shared by the Lakers coach Darvin Ham, who talked about how there is organic energy in the city. He said, "I think it's a great city, the natural organic energy that's here built into the city, it goes hand in hand with the level of sports that have been considered to be placed here. It's a no-brainer. Down the road. I don't want to speak for the NBA or the commissioner, but I think at some point you'll see a permanent NBA team here calling Las Vegas home."
