Los Angeles Lakers have signed center Thomas Bryant from Washington Wizards on a free transfer. After completing 4 years with the Wizards, Thomas Bryant has shown his excitement to play at the Staples Center.
LA Lakers have tweeted a clip of the center, who is making a comeback after playing for the team during 2017-18 season. Bryant said, "I'm happy to be back in the Purple and Gold, and can't wait to play in front of the best fans in the NBA."
The 2020-21 campaign was by far the best scoring season for Bryant in the NBA. During the season, he averaged 14 points and 6 rebounds. However, during the 2019-20 season, the 6-foot-10 center averaged 13.2 points and 7.2 rebounds in 46 games.
Lakers struggled last season due to injuries and unavailability of a reliable center. LeBron James and team are also looking to sign Kyrie Irving from Brooklyn Nets using one or a couple of players to fulfill the transfer deal.
