The Spanish capital - Madrid has been announced as the host for the Spanish Grand Prix from 2026. Formula One confirmed the development after signing a new long-term deal with IFEMA MADRID to create an all-new circuit in the Spanish capital. The new track is set to incorporate both street and non-street sections.

The circuit will be built around the IFEMA exhibition centre with a 5.47km track, subject to FIA homologation and final design specification. The new Spanish GP track will feature 20 corners, with a projected qualifying lap time of 1 minute 32 seconds.

The new Madrid GP is set to host more than 110,000 fans per day across its various stands. Another major positive for the new Spanish Grand Prix is its public accessibility with the Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suarez airport being five minutes away. Similarly, the circuit is just a short commute away by Metro, train, and city lines.
