In the build-up to the upcoming IPL 2024 match for the Kolkata Knight Riders against the Gujarat Titans, their social media team posted a video “Enroute Amdavad,” wherein the players were having a lot of fun and enjoying each other’s company. When the pilot announced that KKR’s plane was flying over Ranchi, Venkatesh Iyer asked whether MS Dhoni’s house is visible from up here, since the Indian cricketing legend lives there.
The Kolkata Knight Riders, who have already secured their place in the IPL 2024 playoffs, will be taking on the Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Monday, May 13. KKR will be eyeing yet another win during their highly successful IPL campaign thus far, which will confirm a top-two spot for them in the points table, giving them two chances to reach the final of the tournament.
The video posted on the official X account of Kolkata Knight Riders, chronicles their journey from Kolkata to Ahmedabad, where they will be playing their upcoming IPL 2024 match later today, against the hosts Gujarat Titans. During the short clip, when the KKR plane flew over Ranchi, Venkatesh Iyer had a telling remark on MS Dhoni, which read, “Mahi bhai ka ghar dikh raha hai kya? (Is Mahi bhai's home visible?)”
On their previous trip to Ahmedabad last year, the Knight Riders earned one of the greatest wins in the history of the IPL over the Titans. It was Rinku Singh, who smashed five consecutive maximums on the final five balls of the match against Yash Dayal, to help KKR chase down 29 runs in the last over.
Rinku Singh will be hoping to put together yet another great performance at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, to remind everyone about how dominant he can be, with the bat in hand.
