Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Juan Mata, Anthony Joshua, and Rory McIlroy are part of a sporting superstars group, who have invested $210 million in the Alpine F1 Team. Roger Ehrenberg, the founder of Eberg Capital, who has invested in the Miami Marlins and Real Salt Lake, is also one of the investors in the team, boasting emerging drivers like Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly.

Notably, Alpine F1 Team, the England and France-based organisation, had struck a deal earlier this year in June, to sell their 24 per cent equity worth $218 million. The investment group named Maximum Effort Investments, led by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, the co-owners of Wrexham AFC, along with co-investor Micheal B. Jordan joined hands with Otro Capital and RedBird Capital Partners, to own the stake.
The sporting superstars from across the globe talked about their investment in the Alpine F1 Team, including Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, who was quoted as saying, “I’ve always had a passion for all sports. The opportunity to lead an investor group with Travis in Alpine F1 alongside Otro Capital was one I couldn’t pass up. It’s an exciting time for the sport and this is an opportunity to bring our shared values to the world stage. I’m looking forward to being a part of its growth.”
Rory McIlroy, the Irish golfing ace, said, “Passion for excellence on the golf course has led me to admire the same pursuit in Formula 1. Partnering with Otro Capital in Alpine F1 is an exhilarating venture that unites my love for sports, competition, and the relentless drive to be the best.”
The Liverpool footballer Trent Alexander-Arnold remarked, “I’m excited to be joining Otro Capital’s group as an investor into Alpine F1 along with my brother Tyler. Having been to Formula 1 races as a fan, I love the high-pressure environment of the paddock and I’ve seen firsthand how incredibly impressive the Alpine team is. Our shared goal as an investment group is to help contribute to its continued success on the grid, at a time when F1 is facing incredible growth as a sport. As a footballer, I understand the importance of teamwork, innovation and determination in achieving goals.”
