SunRisers Hyderabad demolished Lucknow Super Giants by 10 wickets in IPL 2024 thanks to performances from Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head. In the game against Lucknow Super Giants, the bowler ended up with the best figures from his side before Head and Abhishek finished the game in 9.4 overs. SunRisers Hyderabad hosted Lucknow Super Giants for a playoff spot-deciding game at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on May 8.
The veteran picked up a total of two wickets by conceding 12 runs in the four overs he delivered. Not only this, but Kumar didn’t allow even a single boundary during his spell. This effort restricted LSG to 166 in 20 overs after which the SRH openers went ballistic.
Abhishek Sharma smashed 75 in 28 balls with eight fours and six sixes at a strike rate of 267.86. But his partner Travis Head top-scored with a 30-ball 89 which also included eight boundaries and eight maximum as he batted at a 296.67 strike rate to chase down the total in 9.4 overs.
Needless to say, the world-class bowling and explosive batting performances sent fans into a frenzy and sparked a meme fest on social media.
