Max Verstappen posted a picture of him promoting his racing helmet with the Red Bull banner, amid rumours of his parting ways with the brand. The Dutch racer pulled off his fourth title in a row with Red Bull in 2024, taking down the championship challenge from McLaren. Rumours of Verstappen switching teams have refused to die down despite his successful stint with the illustrious brand.

In 2024, there were predictions regarding Max Verstappen coming together with Mercedes, but nowadays his links to Aston Martin are reigning, although the team declined offering a contract to the 27-year-old. Verstappen has repeatedly said he is content with Red Bull, but speculations are still active that he might leave the brand at the end of the 2025 season. The year will witness the stiff competition between four sides Red Bull, Ferrari, Mercedes, and McLaren for both world titles.

According to F1 journalist Nate Saunders, Red Bull’s internal rift led to the early departures of renowned figures such as Jonathan Wheatley and Adrian Newey, who were crucial parts of the team. In case Verstappen leaves the team at the end of the year, there will be unanticipated results, wrote Saunders in his ESPN 2025 season predictions article.

Christian Horner looking to sign George Russell

Amidst Versatppen’s exit rumours, Red Bull boss Christian Horner is impressed with England’s George Russell and is looking to sign up the star British racer soon. Russell’s contract with Mercedes will end at the end of 2025, which will make him available for other brands.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Horner remarked, "We've got a gap now but we just want to take time to consider what do those options look like for the future. And we're not afraid to go out of the pool. You know, George Russell is out of contract at the end of next year. It would be foolish not to take that into consideration."
