After India defeated Bangladesh in the second Test in Kanpur by seven wickets, there have been talks about India’s batting approach in the Test match all over the cricketing fraternity. Rohit Sharma-led team India stunned everyone after they posted 285/9 in the first innings in just 34.4 overs. After that, the fans came up with a new term ‘Gamball’ for India’s batting approach in the second Test. However, former England cricketer Michael Vaughan shared contrasting opinions stating that India just copied England’s 'Bazball' approach in the second Test.

The term 'Bazball' became popular after Brendon McCullum took over as head coach of England’s Test team with Ben Stokes as a skipper. After that, England changed the style of batting in Test cricket and took an attacking approach. Now, India seemed to follow the same in a rain affected Test match against Bangladesh in Kanpur. After this, the fans came up with the title ‘Gamball’ which means the change of batting style in Test cricket under new head coach  Gautam Gambhir

India now becoming Bazballers: Michael Vaughan

After the term 'Gamball' became popular on social media, Michael Vaughan said that India just replicated England’s batting approach in Test cricket. The former cricketer stated that England have revolutionized batting in Test cricket and also claimed that India are also on their way to become ‘Bazballers.” However, Vaughan also faced a backlash on social media after his statement.

“I’ve to say, this is a remarkable Test match. India went out to bat and look Indian cricket is fantastic with everything they deliver. It is great to see India now becoming Bazballers. They got 285 in 34.4 overs, so they copied England. It’s off the scale to think that India are now copying England, that is terrific,” Michael Vaughan was quoted as saying by News18.
