During Arsenal's 2-1 away win against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Tuesday, Gunners teammates Ben White and Oleksandr Zinchenko were involved in a verbal altercation after the full-time. Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta was spotted calming the Ukrainian defender after the altercation and recently made a humorous claim involving the two Premier League defenders.

Ahead of Arsenal's crunch clash against the Premier League toppers Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, February 4, Mikel Arteta joked about Zinchenko and White's relationship. Earlier, the Gunners coach praised the two athletes for their passion and claimed that the players motivate each other to do their best.

Ahead of Arsenal's clash against Liverpool, Arteta was quoted by DailyMail as saying, "They (Zinchenko and White) have been in the same house the past few days sharing wives and everything."

The Arsenal boss added, "It’s fine they’re living together now. They’re best mates. You don’t argue with someone if you don’t have a great relationship. That happens because you have the trust and chemistry with somebody to react the way they did."

Thomas Partey to miss Liverpool clash

Arsenal are five points behind the league toppers, Liverpool, and have faced a major setback ahead of the clash. The Gunners' star midfielder Thomas Partey has failed to recover in time and is set to miss the key match in the title race against the Reds.

Arteta shared an update on the Ghanaian midfielder's injury and said, “Thomas Partey had a little setback a few days ago, unfortunately, he’s not available. Whether it is a matter of days or weeks, we will see. He felt something again in a very similar area”.
