The Delhi Capitals (DC) have been handed a massive blow with all-rounder Mitchell Marsh returning to Australia after tearing his hamstring. The 32-year-old has notably left India amid his ongoing stint with DC in IPL 2024 to treat for a tear in his right hamstring.
It is to be further noted that Marsh has been the frontrunner to lead the Australian side in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, set to be played in June in the USA and West Indies. The Aussie missed out on DC’s last two matches in IPL 2024 after last featuring in DC’s match against KKR on April 3.
As reported by ESPNcricinfo, the Aussie all-rounder left for Australia soon after DC’s defeat against MI. Moreover, it is being learned that a final decision on whether Marsh would be withdrawn from the 17th edition of IPL, has not been taken yet. It is to be further noted that Marsh has been managed closely by the Cricket Australia over last 12 months.

Moreover, the injury concerns in the DC camp are growing fast with David Warner dealing with a finger injury. The Aussie opener was hit in the finger on Friday, during DC’s match against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Lucknow.
Warner has notably undergone scans on his injured finger after swelling on Saturday, April 13. An update on the same is likely to be out soon with DC set play GT on April 17 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
